Washburn Faces High Electric Rates Compared With Waupaca

A Washburn city council callout critiques the local electric lighting contract noting Waupaca pays 6.36 dollars per light monthly for 2000 candle power arc lamps versus Washburn’s 11.44 dollars average for 36 lights. The piece urges public scrutiny, cites a ten year Waupaca contract, and asks why Washburn should pay far more.
