Bayfield readies a county wide homecoming event to honor soldiers of the Bayfield peninsula with a full day of amusement starting at 9 AM Saturday and continuing into the early hours. Bayfield residents and visitors from across the county are invited in uniform or civilian attire to join in the large parade, games, and sports planned along the harbor city.

May report by city librarian Mr Greenwood shows the last five months of the school year had higher circulations than the same period the prior year. Total circulation reached 22 267 with 5 959 volumes, including 1 752 children's books. 319 new books added, 168 adults and 151 juveniles. K L Employees Hold A Picnic At Long Lake
The Renfield Lamoreaux company held its first annual K L picnic at Long Lake. Employees arrived by auto and hay racks, enjoyed berry picking, a noon meal prepared by Mrs Gackowski and Mrs Lamoreaux, water games, swimming and diving, a baseball game, a tug of war, potato races and other contests with prizes.
