Basketball Season Opens With City and High School Showdown

Washburn youth hurt in steam engine blast
Otto Anderson, 20, of Washburn, was severely injured last Sunday while testing a home made steam engine. An empty beer keg used as a boiler burst as steam built, striking his jaw head and shoulder. He was not kept from work, and the engine was crudely built.
