Beavers club forms full committees at a Monday meeting to organize the upcoming state convention in June in the city. About four hundred delegates are expected with banquet boat ride and ball planned. Committee members must attend the Commercial club meeting at 8:30 this evening to outline work.
Mr and Mrs A Kinney were surprised by a large gathering at Union Hall to mark their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Friends presented many valuable gifts and a purse of money in appreciation of the couple.
The Steamer Mary Scott, in first class order, offers an Easter Sunday boat ride by the Merry Scott Sailors. Special Easter rate is 25 cents round trip under Capt. Joan E. Donerty.
City authorities urged a spring cleanup removing winter debris and burning it. Alleys should be cleared and streets raked while property owners beautify homes and businesses. A half holiday for students was proposed to boost participation in the effort.
The 24th annual report of the Agricultural Experiment Station is ready for distribution. The 437 page volume summarizes the practical and experimental work of the last fiscal year. Residents may obtain a copy while supplies last by sending a postal card request to the Agricultural Experiment Station in Madison Wisconsin.
The past week saw banana belt temperatures with highs around 84 for several hours on Tuesday afternoon and another instance reaching 74. Florida's coast also remained warm but steadier, with weather not notably better than inland areas.
The new time table goes into effect Sunday on the Omaha road. Local change is minor except the 2:20 afternoon train will depart at 1:20 next Sunday. Mr. Lincoln confirms this is the only change known.

No tangible evidence links suspect Robert Sprang, who remains held for further DA review.
Warm weather and a strong south wind broke up the bay ice Tuesday, making Chequamegon Bay navigation the earliest in years. Boats now carry coal and lumber to the port, ferries resume regular trips, and the city anticipates business activity. A 15 year table lists opening dates from 1894 to 1908 with most years in April and some May.
Business on the Omaha road between this city and Bayfield has been brisk lately. The railway company has added extra train crews to handle the load. Salmo logs timber and ties are shipped by Northwestern Fuel, while local freight contributes to daily special trains.

Mary Scott arrived with Captain Doherty aboard the good ship Mary Scott around noon and announced a daily service between here and Ashland starting at 12 15 and continuing each day until next fall when the weather freezes.
Mrs. L Reuter found herself pleasantly surprised Tuesday afternoon when a group of friends gathered at her residence to share an unexpected visit and warm congratulatory moments.
The city fire department faced three calls this week including a blaze at Lea Steele’s west Omaha street home from an overheated stove. The fire damaged the roof but furniture was removed before responders arrived. A chimney fire at Nels Martinson’s West Fourth Street home threatened by high winds. A small blaze at the Akeley and Sprague planning mill fire room was quickly extinguished Tuesday morning.
J. C. Rockwell presents the Sunny South company in an April 24 program described as a leading colored attraction with a large well drilled company. They perform dances and songs with costumes, supported by a high-class concert band and orchestra. The band will head the noon parade in Koon town. Seats at Frost's Drug Store priced 25 35 and 50 cents.
Manager C Wright of Home Telephone and the U S Department of Agriculture Weather Bureau arrange a daily 36 hour forecast for subscribers. Call local exchange after ten a m to receive the outlook. Former subscribers and others may benefit from the service.
On the morning of the 15th of April a red cow with white spots on side about seven years old strayed into Sw sw 17-49-5 Clausen farm. Owner can recover by paying expenses. Also notice that Dr and Mrs Spears are spending the day at Duluth and Mrs Ed Williams is ill at St Joseph hospital Ashland.
Andrew Schmith a Swedish Finnish prospector found near Bark River copper and believed wealth awaited him. He took a midday trip with Ed Borgen to the copper site then shot himself, body found in brush near the lake. No inquest planned. remains at morgue.
