A community field day and basket event is planned for Friday at Winona Park. Hon Milton Truster is expected to speak, delivering a stirring address. Admission to the grounds is free. the electric railway will provide rides from Warsaw. Everyone is invited to attend with baskets for a pleasant day out.

Stabbing at North Webster Ends in Arrests
Frank Baker and Arthur Barth chased 16 year old George Willard through North Webster after a night of heavy drinking. Barth stabbed Willard in the chest but the wound is not believed fatal. William Marks subdued Barth, Baker terrorized the town. Sheriff Smith and deputy arrested both suspects for preliminary hearing. Marriage licenses listed: Hebman and Dullaver, Kring and Holderman, Leamons and Olintic, Robinson and Rodebaugh, Lunsford and Snobarger.

Mrs Win Polk’s 66th Birthday Surprise
Last Wednesday evening Mrs Win Polk was surprised by friends and family for her 66th birthday. All children attended except M D and Frank though their families were present. Ice cream was served and Mrs Polk received a gift.
Sunday School Convention Held In Kosciusko County
The Kosciusko County Sunday School association held its 36th annual convention at the Christian Church in this city last week. Attendance was fair, with daytime sessions lacking due to ministers’ absence. Over 90 Sunday Schools reported, most year round, some six to nine months. Evening addresses featured many local ministers and speakers from Warsaw, Turkey Creek, Van Buren, Seward, and others.

Nelson C I family reunion at Seward township farm
On August 27 the Nelson family of the C I held a reunion at the old farm home in Seward township, now A J WTI's house. Guests enjoyed a bounteous dinner, songs by brothers and sisters, guitar and mandolin pieces by Frank and Vange Dish, and Mayme Nelsy recited a James Whitcomb Riley poem. The day ended with a last drink from the spring and plans for the September 1 reunion at North Manchestr.
