Miss Lizzie Allen of War Saw died Friday morning of malaria fever at about 21. She was an elocutionist and musician in Benton Harbor. funeral Sunday at 4 p.m. with Rev. Unprecedented Warsaw Rainstorm Floods Streets and Buildings
A historic downpour hit Warsaw and area last Thursday afternoon, dumping about three and a half inches in one hour and a quarter. Streets flooded, basements and first floors filled, Winona park grounds and Lhotel basement severely damaged, auditorium waters several feet deep, and sewer damage reported across at least a dozen spots alongside wind damage to telephone lines and other structures.

In many places a hailstorm reported by J. W. Hover devastated corn across several square miles. Hover owned 25 acres and expects no recovery. South of town, eight cattle belonging to W. E. Chenoweth were struck by lightning and killed. The community hopes such a storm will not return soon.
