Elks invite affects large Warren turnout for Kane Lodge ceremony
The Warren Lodge of Elks plans to send a large delegation to a forthcoming log initiation in Kane Lodge at Hilltop. An adjourned naturalization court, presided by Judge Arird, will swear in about twenty five foreigners tomorrow at the courthouse, allowing eligibility to vote next election. A New York Central crossover at Fourth Avenue and Market Street is in poor condition, with pounded rails and water-filled low spots hindering pedestrians and risking tire damage. Drake Day planning proceeds at a Friday committee meeting in Ol City, marking a return to annual local observance after an irregular recent schedule. The Tribune notes an invitation to the Borland Bird Fountain unveiling in Franklin City Park as a token of appreciation for James B. Borland.
