Earl Carroll, the Broadway producer, arrived in Atlanta early today and was placed in a private hospital room at the federal penitentiary. He was conscious after a possible coma at dawn and is under constant care by Dr. Mellons and an attending nurse. Warden John A. Snook introduced Carroll to the staff, with former Gov. Warren A. McCray as a hospital neighbor. Visitors are restricted. fingerprinting and photography will wait until improvement. Carroll to be treated as a hospital patient first.
At the international Rotary convention in Ostend on June 8 William Nanier of Neehville Tennessee urged establishment of area administrations to supervise Rotary clubs. The resolutions committee accepted the proposal as the most important of 14 and will introduce it on the floor. A related, rejected resolution aimed at tariff and war debt issues was not reported due to private origins.

They may depart Berlin in five to six days, visit Vienna Rome Paris London and possibly Moscow and Poland, with uncertainty about Moscow. They were greeted at the German presidential palace by President von Hindenburg.
The New York boxing commission revoked Kid Kaplan’s license over alleged unfair tactics at the Y Po to Grounds last Friday night. It marked the first time a fighter’s license was revoked in New York boxing history. Kaplan was accused of fouling George Courtney in their bout.
