Judge Avird Birthday At Courthouse Celebration
An informal party was held Thursday in the commissioners offices at the courthouse for Judge D. A. Avird's birthday with ice cream and cake. Judge Avird, who said he is somewhat over thirty-two, noted the surprise. A motion to extend the affidavit defense deadline to June 7 was granted by Judge Avird at a special session, in a suit brought by Fashion Furniture Co. to recover insurance.
