Believed 100 Men Trapped in Ontario Mine Blaze

In Timmins Ontario on February 10 one hundred workers were believed trapped after ore burst in a lower level of the Hollinger gold mine. Three bodies were recovered as five hundred miners were inside when the fire started. Details were scarce about the disaster in Canada’s vast Hollinger mine.
