Storm Briefly Damages Warren County Crops

Veteran banker and oil operator dies at 80
John Younkins, 80, veteran oil operator and banker, died at his Butler home after weeks of illness. He began in oil at Parkers Landing in 1869 and later operated in Butler and Clarion counties. He was president of Farmers National Bank when it merged with Butler County National Bank last year.
