First Green Corn Appears on Market
The first green corn of the season was offered for sale Friday at Walter Mason's roadside market in Pleasant township B D 4 in front of his home on the new concrete road. Stage star Fred Stone seriously hurt in plane crash
Groton Conn Aug 3 Fred Stone musical comedy star was seriously injured when his plane made a forced landing near Trumbull field. He was piloting to demonstrate it to his daughter Dorothy. The craft lost power at altitude and crashed in a field beside the air field. Stone was rushed to Lawrence Memorial and Associate hospitals after being extricated by his own actions.
