Harrisburg reports Gus Jaswinski a 27 year old 115 pound amateur boxing champion from Grand Rapids Michigan fell from the Red Arrow Limited train en route to Detroit while wrestling on the rear platform. He struck a rail and suffered a fractured skull dying instantly. The inquest will determine details. He had recently competed in the A A U meet in Boston and was part of a 13 member group from Grand Rapids. The team had been in Washington with President Coolidge before starting their trip home.

Harrisburg April 29 Governor John S Fisher granted sixteen pardons and denied clemency in thirty cases. Among those pardoned was William McClure of Allegheny County sentenced in 1916 to 18 to 20 years for second degree murder in the death of a 9 year old girl. another pardon went to Robert Neal, a 61 year old white resident of Oakmont, for the slaying of his wife. White Oakmont residents raised funds supporting the pardon effort.

Alumni Society Presents Loving Cup to Warren High
The Warren County Alumni Society of the University of Pennsylvania awards a silver loving cup as a memorial to Warren High School.
