Fire Chief Tridico 63 Dies Sudden in Warren Hospital
James R. Tridico longtime Warren Fire Department member and chief since 1953 died suddenly Sunday evening in Warren General Hospital where he had been admitted Oct. 19 for a physical exam and rest. A native of Italy he came to the U.S. at 14 and joined the department at 16. He served in World War I and held memberships in several veterans and fire service organizations. Ground was broken for the Kinzua Dam at Big Ben with officials including Gov. David L. Lawrence and U.S. Senators in attendance.
