Inter-City baseball and Warren softball rounds noted
In Inter-City Baseball League Jamestown Merchants defeated Warren 8 6 as Jamestown leads 6 2 while Warren and Dunkirk lag. Warren tied Jamestown at 6 4 in eighth before New Yorkers won with two in the last of the eighth. City softball saw Betts Machine beat Soda Mineral 8 7 and Solar Electric top Nameless Nine 3 2 on Tuesday. Solar’s Schmader earned the win as Chuck Reese starred for Nameless. Last week Solar beat Sheffield 20 2. Penalties paid by the Pennsylvania Game Commission totaled 188 dollars for predators killed in Warren County in May.
