From Haydn to Hi Fi explores chamber music history on Spectrum
The series begins July 7 at 3 p.m. on WBUF Channel 17 featuring the Stanley Quartet with commentary by James O Neill of the University of Michigan. The Buffalo area stations WBEN and WBEN FM launch eight weeks of Buffalo Philharmonic Summer Pops with Florian Za Bach headlining the opening program and a schedule through August 27 including Broadway Musicals Night Duke Ellington Gershwin Night Calypso Night Ballet Night Jazz Night and Rodgers Hammerstein Night. Teresa Fino, a former Warren girl now librarian in New York, appeared on NBC TV Sundays Schedule.
