Warren council passes parking and traffic overhauls
The Warren council approved multiple amendments to parking and traffic control ordinances to relieve congestion and expand spaces. It approved transferring the sewage plant site and pumping station land to the Sanitary Authority, with plant plans also moved forward. New meter parking and bus stops are planned along Pennsylvania Ave, plus changes to street directions, loading zones, and two hour parking rules. A $75,000 general fund loan was authorized and a gas tax share sought. staff changes included a patrolman resignation and paving plans for 1957 linger.
