Social Security Payments in Warren County Rise 10 Percent
At year end 1959 Warren County paid old age survivors and disability benefits to 4 630 people totaling 3 523 872 annually. Howard H. Cift, Jamestown district manager, notes an eight percent rise in recipients since February and a ten percent rise in dollars. National totals show about 13 3/4 million beneficiaries nationwide at over 10 billion dollars yearly.
