Sixth Warren County auto fatality at Roystone Hill

Warren County reports its sixth traffic death of the year as Joseph E. O Leary of 500 Center St Sheffield dies instantly when his car rear ends a slow truck on the crest of Roystone Hill in fog and sun glare. His sister Eloise O Leary is hospitalized with facial and knee injuries. They were en route to work at Roystone Station of the Pennsylvania Gas Co. Continuous coverage inside.

Teen Climbs Rope From Island Falls From Bridge

A thirteen-year-old boy on Fifth Avenue Bridge isle near Warren fell about fourteen feet onto an island while climbing a rope. He was rushed to Warren General Hospital with a suspected back injury but later discharged after examination. Local police and fire crews responded to the 1:50 p.m. emergency. The youth is identified as Eugene Madden, son of Mr and Mrs Madden.
