Great Foot Race Amazes Louisville Crowds at Creole Course

The two hundred yard contest between Schultz of Kentucky and The Unknown of Philadelphia drew an immense crowd and five thousand dollars in bets. The Unknown won by about ten feet in under eighteen seconds though timer disputes left no official time. The result sparked plans for a rematch at Louisville in June with a five thousand dollar stake.
