Stella Hodge, also known as Mrs. Arthur Drake, confesses to shooting Emil Amann by accident, with Warren, Ohio, authorities reporting. The statement follows Amann’s death and implicates no other parties in the incident.
Stella Hodges alias Mrs Arthur Drake was arrested in Atlantic City N J and confessed to shooting Emil Amann on January 27 1911 claiming the death was accidental The confession runs over 3000 words and details relations and the Conewango Creek cottage meeting near Russell The confession is dated June 26 1911 and a statement from District Attorney Lyons was withheld.

Samuel Gordon a 42 year old patient from Bloomfield, admitted days earlier, suffered severe pain from quicklime in his eyes. He became demented and was removed to Essex County Hospital for the Insane at Overbrook after police were summoned.
In Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania on June 29 a mine subsidence tore apart about 300 graves at two Plymouth cemeteries the St Vincent de Paul and the Polish Catholic sites. Headstones fences and plots were wrecked with depressions up to eight feet deep and coffins torn open. Relatives suffer distress as more graves may be affected by the cave-in.
