Last Monday evening the Town Council adjourned and granted Street Railway Co. permission to use "T" rails with a condition to pave one foot on each side. The borough attorney opined the streetcar company could lease tracks to Warren Jamestown Co. President Schimmelfeng resigned. Capt. N. G. Lyons elected to fill the vacancy.
W C Anderson of Morrisons near Kinzua died after his rifle discharged while hunting last Thursday. He was found after bleeding and a nervous shock, dying at his home Friday morning. He was about 60 and survived by his wife and several children.
Meadville dispatch reports George L Boslough aged 30 died Monday after a two day illness. His symptoms resembled delirium tremens. For two years he had averaged 30 cigarettes daily, marking another fatal cigarette related case.
Beef ranges from six cents per pound for boiling pieces to fifteen cents for porterhouse steak. Pork chops twelve cents per pound, chickens sixteen to eighteen cents, ducks twenty cents, eggs thirty five cents a dozen. Apples one to one fifty per bushel, rabbits fifteen cents per pound, potatoes one dollar per bushel, onions cabbage carrots and greenhouse lettuces and tomatoes found ready purchasers.
Hugh Lamb 23 was killed beside Westline between Kane and Warren when crushed between two freight cars. He was married with a one year old child.
The Pennsylvania Railroad schedules attractive personally conducted tours. California trip leaves New York January 25 for 30 days at 375 from points east of Pittsburgh. Grand Canyon trip departs March 1 for 31 days at 385. Florida Sunny Peninsula trips depart February 6 20 and March 6 with rates from New York 350 and Philadelphia 48. Erie invites travelers for a round trip to New York City on Friday December 22. The Jamestown rate is 11 dollars with tickets valid for return within ten days, offering a festive excursion during the holiday season.

Wilma Haggstrom died in Warren on December 6 1905 at 19 years age from heart disease. She worked as a domestic for Andrew Hertzel and left behind parents two brothers and two sisters. She belonged to the 8 B of A and funeral was held Saturday under that order. Edgar G Parker age 81 died at North Clarendon on December 10 1995 and leaves three daughters Mrs A D Sloan Buffalo NY Mrs M K Newton and Miss Sarah Parker Clarendon. Remains sent to Westfield for interment. Anna Ferry died December 8 1905 in Warren from spinal trouble at age 10.
At Gladerun in December 1905 a daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Gust Thelin.
A sequence of real estate transfers records numerous buyers and sellers in multiple towns including Warren Corydon Tidioute Deerfield and Conewango with prices ranging from 1 to 2875 dollars. Notable parties include James Larsen L L Hunter Henry Ayling John King Catherine Morrison Cordelia Evans Wm Merkle and Chas Dodd among others.
In last week’s criminal court, Jos Waxman faced receiving stolen goods charges and was found not guilty. Henry Hoffman pleaded guilty to jail breaking and later received seven years in the pen. Hilda Johnson pled guilty to forging checks and got 18 months. C Kuhre convicted of selling impure meat. O L Dalrymple acquitted on the same charge. M B Delmage not guilty on a serious offense. J A Viele and G K E DeGolia found guilty of falsifying books and forgery. Leroy Morrison fined 100 dollars plus costs for assault and battery. E Kuhre fined 100 dollars plus costs for selling preserved meats. G E DeGolia and J A Viele four months in jail and 500 dollar fine for altering banks of Jefferson County Gas Co. Motion for new trial filed.
The Erie R R announces a holiday excursion from Jamestown to New York City with return on Friday December 24. Tickets are 11 dollars round trip for all regular trains on that date and valid for ten days for return.
