San Francisco January 4 Lincoln Beachey achieved seven somersaults in a single biplane flight setting a new aviation record. He looped above a crowd of over 20 000 and performed a corkscrew twist in a perpendicular position. The show included a somersault around a hydro aeroplane. in five weeks he has completed forty three aerial somersaults.
General orders are being prepared in Harrisburg for the inspection of the Pennsylvania National Guard. National guard officers will begin inspections late this month, with regular army officers detailing the inspections, continuing into April.
Albany reports General Rosalie Jones and her women militia marching 166 miles in six and a half days with 30 hours sleep to press for a bill authorizing women watchers at polls. The procession, supported by suffragists, met Governor Glynn who urged action and pledged to consider the measure.
