Licenses Granted and Denied in County Liquor Hearings

Judge Lindsey and Associates granted fifty liquor licenses in a four hour session listing names by town including Warren Youngsville Kinzua and Sugar Run. Several applications were continued until May and a number were refused with a note the court would reduce licenses to comply with the law. Young Titusville engineer is 21 and earns promotion

Fred Hayes of Titusville is named the youngest railroad engineer in the region at 21 after replacing ill Engineer J. P. Wetzel on freight train No. 10 from Titusville to Dunkirk. Hayes previously served as fireman with Wetzel, who left the engine in Warren to return home.

Bridget Silk widow of Patrick Silk formerly of Warren died April 11 1908 at her son Johns home in Oil City aged 80 Burial in St Josephs cemetery. William Cumming a Sugar Grove resident and prominent citizen died last Tuesday night April 14 aged about 75 after paralysis illness wife and two children mourn his death.
