Presentation of Struthers Library Building Ceremony

The presentation of the Struthers Library Building to the Warren Library Association was a meticulously planned event held in Library Hall. Hon. Improved Warren House Hotel Under New Proprietor

In a few days readers will learn of Warren House changes since Col Elsworth took over. Interior renovations include new wallpaper, cassomine, fresco work, and a full furniture update. Dining room and two parlors finished with refined finish. Works overseen by N. K. Wendlebee. A new 75 guest suite is added by connecting upstairs to the Johnson Exchange building. The Warren Hotel remains first class.

Dr J E Berkstresser Receives Lodge Farewell Gift

Dr J E Berkstresser plans to leave Warren for Alabama about the 15th. As a Worshipful Master of North Star Lodge, he was presented with an elegant watch and chain at a lodge meeting by Dist Dep Grand Master C C Thompson. The gift, given with touching ceremony, will be cherished by the honored member.

Temperance in Trouble Over Spy Tactics and Arrests

The temperance movement is criticized for adopting aggressive spying and informer tactics leading to many license violations, including four drug stores. Races at the Driving Park Draw Large Crowd

Yesterday’s events at the new Driving Park drew a large crowd of spectators despite initial start delays. Results included a dead heat in the pacing race between Billy Silk and Doc Luce, a running race won by Seely ahead of Wright, and Fred Hays taking the trotting event in three straight heats. Daley Bros to Perform at Library Hall in Week Evenings

Harvard versus Yale is noted, with the Daley Bros. set to entertain at Library Hall on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
