Hon William L Scott writes to Erie county voters accepting the Democratic nom ination for Congress while pledging faithful service to Warren and Venango with focus on tariff reform monetary stability and reduced taxation. Mrs. Harry Simms of Carthage Ohio visits her sister in the Exchange building. Her five year old son wandered near a curb ledge and fell ten feet through an unguarded basement grate. He landed on a stone floor and was unconscious briefly but escaped serious injury. Neighbors call it a miracle he survived the fall.
