Early reports show Cleveland leading in New York New Jersey Indiana and Connecticut but many states remain doubtful. By 4 a m new figures suggest New York and Pennsylvania may tilt. New Jersey appears to favor Cleveland with a 6 000 to 7 000 majority while Indiana leans Cleveland.
New York voters report Cleveland ahead in statewide totals with large margins in Brooklyn and Kings County. Early tallies show Cleveland carrying New York State by tens of thousands, while Blaine leads in several New England districts. Major races include Egbert L. Viele elected to Congress and Massachusetts results favoring Blaine.

If trends hold Cleveland could reach 18 000 20 000 more in the state and Blaine about 50 000 outside New York and Brooklyn.

In Oil City Mackey wins 4 precincts, Blaine carries the city, and Mackey posts a 262 and 300 to 400 margin in Franklin Ve nvango. Scott expected to win Bere city by 8,000 and county by 2,000 to 2,500.
