Nine Buildings Burned at Findley’s Lake Fire
MAYVILLE N Y Oct 28 Yesterday morning fire in the cellar of Calhoun and Durham’s general store at Findley’s Lake spread rapidly with little fire apparatus. Residents blew up several buildings to stop the blaze saving the village. Loss estimated over 240000 with total insurance of 18000. A previous blaze occurred opposite the site two years ago. Wm Spinner advertises a cook stove for eight dollars, burns 28 inch wood, double ovens, and bakes well.

Timothy Foley a 58 year old Warren resident died Tuesday noon after rheumatism of the heart following illness that began Monday. An Irish immigrant who came to this country about forty years ago he was beloved for his industrious upright life. He leaves a wife six sons and three daughters. The funeral will be held Friday at 10 o clock from St Josephs church.
