Obituary of Capt. Michael H Butler of Cambridge
Capt. Michael H Butler born 1841 in Cambridge Mass enlisted with United States engineers, served with the army of the Potomac, and led his company in several campaigns. He later advised against war, built a career in oil civil engineering, opposed Standard Oil, supported Knights of Labor, and aided labor causes including Pattison campaigns. He died in Boston on the seventh of the month, and lies in Maiden River Cemetery near family graves.

Trankey, Warren Lawyer, Ends Life in Youngstown Bath
William Garrison Trankey, a prominent Warren lawyer and son of the late Judge John Trankey, killed himself by hanging in a Youngstown Turkish bath early Wednesday. He had shown signs of insanity after arriving March 6 and was cared for by a physician. Reports state he favored a slow death to carry out his plan, with his death deemed the result of temporary insanity. The funeral is to be held in Franklin. Mason and Knights Templar affiliations noted.
