Hukill Sells Oil Field Land to South Pennona Oil Co
E M Hukill of Oil City has sold about 20000 acres across Green County Pennsylvania and Morongalia and Marion counties West Virginia to the South Pennona Oil Company. The field includes 60 producing oil wells and four high pressure gas wells with daily oil output around 1000 to 1100 barrels. Price is reported near 800000. Hukill retains other interests with disputed title.

Death of Judge W. W. Connelly in Deerfield Township
Warren county mourns the death of former associate judge W. W. Connelly who died at his home in Deerfield Township on January 28 from pneumonia after a four day illness. He served as township official and one term as county associate judge, aided by a long line of reading, teaching, and school duties. He leaves two married daughters. his wife died last November.

Road fund plan to spend $1 million on state roads
Harrisburg February 1 The country road bill to be introduced in the house this week would authorize about $1,000,000 for permanent road building. Townships would receive funds like the public school aid and be urged to add local taxes. Townships may borrow to the constitutional debt limit. Each township would elect three unpaid supervisors who hire foremen for road gangs. Each county would elect an engineer to certify road work.

World's Largest Luwrser Mills at Port Blakeley Revealed
Seattle Telegraph notes Port Blakeley twelve miles from Seattle hosts the world’s largest lumber mill. The plant spans 102 by 448 feet with a 160 by 65 fire room and 170 by 50 foot shop. Special to the Pittsburg Post from MespviLty Pennsylvania reports that F W Witter a depositor of 615 prompted the arrest of the Delamater banking firm and Victor M Delamater cashier on embezzlement charges under the May 9 1889 act. They waived hearing and posted 1000 bonds signed by Hon Samuel Bates.
