Fifty Years For Good Semicentennial Of The Baptist Church

The Warren Baptist church marks fifty years since its 1834 organization with a sem i centennial service. Rev E D Hammond delivered the history of the church from 1834 to 1860, noting growth, trials and key figures including Deacon Norman Snyder. A fundraising sermon followed to aid a new pipe organ as members reflected on faith and perseverance through early meetings, construction, and leadership.

Jenne found guilty of second degree murder in Tidionte

George Jenne was found guilty of murder in the second degree for the May 7 killing of William Ellis near Tidionte. Brakeman Crushed Between Rail Cars in Buffalo Incident

Yesterday afternoon at about 2 o'clock Archie Monkham of AS City, a brakeman on a local freight train of the Buffalo New York & Philadelphia Railroad, was caught between the bumpers while coupling cars. He suffered a crushed ankle and severe back bruising, with signs he may not survive.
