The legislature enacts a dog tax allowing county commissioners to levy up to 2 dollars on male dogs and up to 4 dollars on female dogs, proportionate to sheep-damage across townships. Tax applies after township investigation. owners liable if they refuse to kill dogs causing damage. Dogs under four months exempt.

Warren County Pioneer Ezra Trimm Dies at Eldred Home

Ezra Trimm a Warren county pioneer aged nearly 80 died at his Eldred township home on Friday of paralysis attributed to overwork. He left no children and his wife predeceased him. Trimm owned the farm behind which Trimm's Corners on Spring Creek road twelve miles from Titusville were named. Reports say he left his property to Eldred township. He was a public spirited, respected citizen.

Warren boys win 16 mile team bicycle race at Jamestown

About 40 Warren wheelmen attended the race, a strong turnout for the event. Loyal Temperance Legion Picnic At Hinzas

The Loyal Temperance Legion held its annual picnic at Hinzas on Friday morning July 28 with nearly one hundred attendees and abundant baskets. Rev Calhoun spoke on the dangers of liquor while Mrs Ellen Lacy of Glade likened alcohol to a serpent in the home, urging temperance, followed by Mrs Bebie Doughty’s engaging notes. Saturday, Lacy addressed WCTT at the M E church, securing three new names for the union, including Ipa M. Jounson Local Supt.
