In Brapworp Pennsylvania on April 13 the largest Republican county convention in McKean history ended with Brown defeating Emery for the national delegate seat. Delegates from Bradford, Smethport, Kane, Venango, and other towns participated as C. W. Stone backed for Congress and Brown secured a 39 to 35 tell. Tony Bannen supporters praised the result as Brown holds a Venango majority and will join TB Simpson as national delegates.
