Freight collision on New York Penn road near JaMentown
A serious wreck occurred three miles west of JaMentown at 11 20 today on the New York Pennsylvania Ohio Railroad. Eastbound No 24 ran past orders at Lakewood and collided with westbound No 81. Fifteen loaded cars wrecked. Engineer Hiram Freeman was badly injured, Conductor Yorum scalded, Fireman P A Carney slightly hurt. Train 24 crew escaped. Track blocked over ten hours.

Fouled Wins Revolver in Accidental Shooting

Albert Jackson a 20 year old brakeman on the Shef field local freight suffered a severed arm at the wrist when his hand was caught between bumpers at Stoneham last Monday. Dr. Pierce treated him at Stoneham then surgeons amputated at the elbow before he was moved to Hamlin hospital in Erie.
