General March announces the nation's casualty list will top 239000 with 14811 deaths from disease 2204 wounded 179625 prisoner 2163 missing 1160 total losses 236117 reflecting wartime losses and unclassified deaths.
General Peyton C. March announced casualty totals from World War I in Washington. He reported 236,117 total American casualties with 44,000 Germans taken prisoner and 1,400 captured heavy weapons. First combat divisions to return from France were named.
Forecast calls for partly cloudy conditions tonight, followed by a Sunday with fair skies and a slight warming trend. The outlook emphasizes mild warmth for the weekend.

Rochester N Y November 23 The three days conference of the National Municipal League adopted a platform by Richard Spencer Childs New York City endorsing wartime constructive measures. The platform supports government actions to meet war time needs in industry and social life.
Postmaster General Burleson asked T N Vail of the American Telegraph and Telephone Company to share expertise on electrical communications for broader use of telephone telegraph and cable during government control of land wires and American cable properties. London reports Hoover and Hurley arrived at Southampton from New York.

Paris reports that German forces captured 209 American officers and 1,817 privates as Doughboys took 6,382 officers and 44,252 privates. The chief surgeon says all seriously wounded will be transported home within three months, with seriously sick to follow. America has 250,000 hospital beds in France and 21 hospital trains. contracts for 29 more are held up.
Washington reports McAdoo resigns to “recoup his fortune” prompting a scramble to fill the treasury post. President Wilson aims to appoint two men to oversee treasury and railroad duties while McAdoo returns to New York to practice law.
