Plans for President Wilson's ocean voyage are ready as German ships relocate to Allied control. Enemy vessels sail into open arms of British American and French fleets with guns trained fore and aft but lacking ammunition. some captive ships are repurposed while others were sunk since the war began.
Aboard the U S S Wyoming and at Harwich reports detail the surrender and internment of 71 German vessels 14 battleships seven light cruisers and fifty destroyers. The Allied fleet under Admiral Beatty Sims and Rodman escorted the ships into the Firth of Forth where they were interned amid haze and orderly ceremony.
London November 22 Premier Lloyd George and Chancellor Bonar Law published the government platform for the coming elections. It calls for a league of nations, housing reform, education promotion, colonial preference, equal rights for both sexes, and trade development. A London dispatch notes the next day Wilhelm Hohenzollern fell ill with influenza and his suite returned to Germany.
In Charleston West Virginia on November 22 the Nitro government works project is shut down for a day leaving thousands unemployed tomorrow. About thirty five thousand residents had been housed at Nitro, a former cornfield just over a year ago.
