The Cleveland district reports a record day of more than 26.0 million dollars as the Second District including New York City reaches 580.7 million at 10 o clock today. Remaining subscriptions total 313.0 million for the rest of the week. Yesterday 23.51 million was secured.
Subscriptions to the third Liberty loan rise as treasury officials grow hopeful. Kansas City district reports ten percent over quota while Cleveland district hits record day. Chicago leads in individual subscriptions. New York district reports progress with 313 million still to raise and Morgan subscribes ten million. General Foch lauds American thrift and pledge of war aid.
Morrisburg April 3 The endorsement committee of the Pennsylvania Dry Federation last night announced endorsements for governor of J Denny O Neil Republican and Joseph F Guffey Democrat as far as local organizations had endorsed them No action was taken on Sproul endorsements or other state nominees. numerous endorsements were given for senatorial and legislative candidates.
Washington April 30 58 American soldiers named in the casualty list. Two killed in action two died in accidents six died of disease six severely wounded forty two slightly wounded and one missing in action. Lieut John W Morris now prisoner in Germany. Lieut Thomas J Mooney believed another cable error. previously reported dead from accident.

Steamship Chinca fended off a submarine attack on March 21 after three crew members were killed by shells from the unseen raider. The vessel repelled the assault and continued voyage with damage and casualties confirmed.

In New York on April 30 identification of "Lennie" remained unclear as police probed the death by his own hand of Lieut. John H. McCanna after he shot and killed his wife. A farewell note blamed "Lennie" for breaking up his home. McCanna's mother and sister from West Point may shed light on the case.
