Aunt Kittie Hedden Turns 90 In Nampa Community Reunion
In Nampa Idaho Aunt Kittie Hedden known as Aunt Kittie to locals marks her 90th birthday with a family reunion. Born in Boise Valley in 1834 she witnessed Indian raids wagon trains and the rise of jet travel and television. She remains active cooks gardens reads and crochets while supporting the College of Idaho in Caldwell where she is the sole surviving member of its first class from 1891.

A large crowd gathered for Aunt Kinnie's 90th birthday celebration in the Little People's Puzzle recreation hall. She wore a chic black ensemble with pink and white rosebud hat and orchids on both shoulders while guests toasted her long life. Her son-in-law Jack Love noted the birthday as a prelude to a 100th, and family planned a later dinner with 21 attendees.
