Ruby Killer Ruby Slashes Self in Cell Wall Incident
Condemned killer Jack Ruby hurled himself across his 10 foot cell and smashed into a plaster wall in an apparent suicide bid. He sustained a bump and a small cut before an intern treated him. X rays showed no internal head damage and he was returned to a high security cell at the county jail. Sheriff Decker said Ruby remained quiet overnight under guard and appeared to have targeted the wall as he knew his upcoming hearing.
