Allen G. Kennedy, secretary and treasurer of the ne-Wallace Mining Co., returned from Alaska after six weeks away. He and Mrs. Kennedy found Rae-Wallace mine promising and likely to repay next year. The Willow creek district operation faces delays. machinery is nearly at the site but assembly awaits better weather. Kennedy’s health declined after an injury. Mr. Horn, born 1850 in Maine, active Republican, and well known in the district, has died to widespread sorrow.

Tarbox Plans Crosscut Toward Big South Vein
Tarbox Mining will resume October first to drive a crosscut from the 800 level to the big south vein about 600 feet away. Management expects the parallel veins to unite at depth, promising a likely rich ore body, with a lean operating cost under $2,000 per month and minimal stockholder burden.
Idaho Northern Drives Crosscut at Chicago-Boston Shaft
The Idaho Northern Mining Company plans a winter development push near Murray about five miles east. Financed by treasury stock, it will equip the property with electric-powered compressors and drive a 1600-foot crosscut to reveal a large ore body, intersecting three veins and exposing significant silver lead and gold values. The Chicago Boston shaft has reached the 400 level with a likely crosscut to the vein, while the lower tunnel nears 370 feet. John Sandgren of Spokane serves as president. Rockford John Furst, longtime resident, attends to mining interests in the district.
