New Hope Mining Seeks Deep Ore With Three Veins
Eugene Thomas, president and manager of New Hope Mining, reports the crosscut tunnel at depth reaches about 260 feet and remains in soft formation requiring timbering. Three veins lie ahead, with the original New Hope vein, the north one, already yielding lead silver ore and showing promising prospects for deeper commercial ore. The property sits on Two Mile canyon, about a mile and a half from Osburn.
