Pine Creek Strike at Sidney Vein Spurs Lease Action
Eugene Thorn reported from Pine Creek that a vein parallel to the Sidney work shows rich ore, with samples running up to 54 percent lead and 86 ounces of silver. A lease for two years was secured by local businessmen to develop surface ore and extend underground workings, led by WoW Papesh and others known as the Georgians. Hob Stanley, the last surviving Georgians member, died in London, leaving a ring from the discovery.
