Marsh Mines Plans Outlined in Pohlman Letter

Howard Pohlman, president of Marsh Mines Consolidated, states that settlement with Heela Mining makes it feasible to pursue claims. He notes the apex of the Koaxell vein crosses the north side line of the Russell claim, not the east end line, supporting the company’s extralateral rights. Development plans call for following the easterly extension of the Koaxell vein into Marsh ground with 9 feet daily progress and tunneling from the Gertie tunnel to reach the vein approximately 450 feet away.

Western Union Mining Report Sees North Vein Nearing Intersection

Collins, manager of the Western Union Mining company, reports the crosscut driving toward the north vein progresses satisfactorily. Indications point to reaching the vein within 50 feet or less. The face shows stringers of quartz with iron-stained water, and the vein is believed to be the main fissure. Given the fine ore shoot opened, the intersection of the north vein is watched with unusual interest.
