Development of Marsh 9 Described by Moore
Stockholders of March Mines Consolidated received Moore's detailed report on the eastern vein development. Drilling began January 16 via the south ore drift, with a fault displacing the vein about 150 feet north. The report notes the Russell tunnel finds and expects substantial ore east of the fault, driven by no. 2 tunnel toward profitable depths.

North Star Mining Extends Crosscut Toward Vein Near Black Cloud
G W Daugherty's North Star Mining & Development lets Joe Cain a contract to extend the crosscut north from the main tunnel toward the vein, about 1100 feet from the portal near Black Cloud on Nine Mile. The vein likely reaches the crosscut before contract completion. The note on warmth explains air holding in interstices of snow or cool coverings.
