Moe Mining Company Big Mineralized Vein
The Moe Mining company formed to develop two claim groups on Gold Creek four miles west of Mullan. The Moe group holds five claims at the creek mouth with a massive iron vein and copper bearing rock. former Springville ownership passed to W K Moe, a noted miner. Development shows a great vein about 26 feet wide with siderite copper and sporadic bornite and pea cock copper. early tunnels cut the vein at 150 feet and drifting along footwall revealed the same large vein with heavy mineralization. Ore samples indicate potential shipment value, including a heavy copper and silver content and gold values. The Moe group lies near the railroad between Torino and Frank Hose properties, with easy access and a promising development prospect. Directors include W K Moe, Chas Fond, G W Dougherty, William Coumerish and Andy Silvert oon.
