Idaho Leasing Builds Tramway to Loading Station

Idaho Mines Leasing company, tied to the Frisco group, is building a 750 foot cable gravity tramway from its mill near the No. tunnel portal to a railroad loading station. The 100 ton mill, now under Mr Phelan, will operate two shifts starting tomorrow with three carloads of concentrates ready for shipment.

Independence Lower Tunnel Development Begins With Inspections

W E Callen of Spokane, secretary measurer for Independence Land Mines, is due tomorrow to inspect the property with Ho Kingatury, a director. They will closely study the upper tunnels where lead-silver ore shows, and may clear or deepen an old shaft. An engineer will then assess where to start work in the lower tunnel to access ore from the upper tunnels.

Sunset mine ore show boosts West Sunset prospects

Senate Clark has funded Sunset development with a deep vertical shaft of 800 feet and a 2000 foot total depth. West Sunset reports wide ore with 1 to 3 feet of clean milling ore in the drift. About 20 men are employed. snow lies 16 feet deep at the cabins.

Settlement ended a costly dispute over Marsh Mines Consolidated lease and claims on the O’Neil Mono Fraction and Huesolt areas. A $100,000 offer from Federal Mining and Smelting was rejected.
