Parker flotation machine described in Mining Journal excerpt
The June 10 Engineering and Mining Journal describes the Parker flotation machine at Kellogg Idaho's Bunker Hill Sullivan mill and Alhambra mill. Invented by J B Parker, the wood built device runs at 78 rpm with 5 hp per standard bank, designed for selective flotation with low power per ton and long wear. Eight machines in two banks operate in series, with finishes and tails recycled through a Dorr thickener. Advantages include surface air coating, minimal attention, low repair costs, and straightforward maintenance without rotor removal.
