A 50 50 deal unites Bunker Hill and Hecla Mining to operate the Star mine. Crosscut from the Hecla shaft will reach the Star vein about 2800 feet below surface as development begins. Nabob Opens Development Work After Mine Closure

Spokane superintendent N B Sharp visited the Nabob Consolidated Mining company in town to place a few men on development. An intermediate level will be opened between the Nabob main tunnel and the Nenver level, about 286 feet apart, with six men at work. The Nabob shut down months ago due to low metal prices and high costs, but stockholders were assured by president J B Harrington that the operation is delayed, not ended, with recovery expected as conditions improve.
