Ore Shoot Developments at Chicago-Boston Mine
Ore display shows 18 inches of clean ore on the foot wall and 6 inches on the hanging wall in the intermediate drift east of the 200 level. The rake is clearly to the east with a 3 feet milling ore band, guiding plans to crosscut from the raise and extend the east drift toward the ore shoot while suspending the drift. Majestic Mining property inspected by Yakima stockholders
Yakima investors Hale Louis Goodman and C E Finberg visited the Majestic Mining property last Thursday. They inspected the lower tunnel from Humsvoldt gulch, started near the east end of the Majestic group. The tunnel, advanced about 100 feet, shows a three foot vein. James Dunne, Burke, president of the company, and his sons, operate the mine which holds 13 patented claims and promising carbonate ore near a shaft on the Nill showing potential ore depth.

Sidney Ore Shipments Net Return 20 Per Ton
L W Gay of Kellogg, original locator of the Sidney mine on Pine creek, visits Sidney and discusses the rich ore showing. First shipment to Bunker Hill smelter netted just over 30 per ton, with 50 tons valued at about 1500. Tunnels 1 and 2 show solid ore and high grade mill feed as development continues to define the ore shoot and its connection to the original Sidney vein.

Tenderfoot climber atop Mount Rainier expedition tale
A New York and Hackensack scout leader, his wife, and two children joined Callahan Mine host C. W. Newton at the Callahan mine in Rainier district for a 4 month vacation. The 15 year old Donald joined the Mount Rainier ascent guided by Hans Fuhrer, starting July 20 from Camp Muir, enduring ice, snow, and perilous ledges. After a grueling climb of 14 hours to the summit at 14,408 feet, the party endured gale winds and near freezing, reaching the peak in a dramatic push with safety rope and strong will.

Vein Widening and Water Flow Increase at Columbus Mine
Victor Carlon, foreman of Columbus Mining, reports a widening vein and a larger water flow in the Eagle tunnel. The drift follows the hanging wall with no foot visible. A crosscut toward the foot wall may reveal better ore. Surface work continues to speed development. a powder magazine is under construction and the compressor foundation near completion. The compressor is en route and due in about two weeks.
