Forest Fire Bulletin Warns of Early Danger Season Coastwide
The Western Forestry and Conservation Association reports a critical fire season across the Pacific coast. Dry conditions in May and June fueled numerous blazes in Washington and Oregon, with hundreds of fires and heavy losses, including destroyed timber, rail and property. Authorities urge strict precautions, enforcement, and faster reporting to prevent out-of-control fires.
